information on flowers for the Japanese
consumers
in order to promote better sales
in the future.
- For historical reasons, Japanese are not used to enjoying flowers
themselves. In the past, flowers were used mainly for religious
occasions and@for "IKEBANA" -Japanese flower-arrangement.
- After the deflation of the bubble economy
in Japan, the flower industry realised
that
the HOME USE of flowers will be the
main
player of this industry in the near
future.
The flower industry also realises
that Japanese
consumers are far behind American/European
consumers in terms of using flowers
for their
own sakes.
- There are many sites on the internet trying
to sell flowers to consumers but
these sites
do not know what or even how Japanese
use
